Conrad Bo, member of the Superblur Art Movement
I am a member of the Superblur Art Movement.Today is 2 February 2022, and I find myself in my studio in Pritchard Street Johannesburg CBD South Africa. I am not even sure what I am going to write next but I figure it out as I go along.
I have included some photographs of my Art in this Blog Post.
At the moment I am contemplating the influence of Art Movements on the Art currently produced in 2022. With the rise of the Block Chain and Crypto currencies, the influence seems to diminish. At the moment a lot of people are foregoing the traditional thinking about art and are just thinking in terms of Art in a digital way. Notice I said a lot of people not everybody. One of the interesting NFT's is the Bored Ape Yacht Club. I have researched it a bit and I am still trying to figure it out. How it influenced my way of thinking and how it is influencing a lot of people. An artist that I am following on Instagram has bought himself one and I have read a headline in the Guardian News Paper about one instance where somebody has sold A Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT for 3 000 dollars instead of 300 000 dollars. This all seemed crazy to me in the beginning but now I am thinking that this might be the future. However I am still going to stay the course and make physical Art according to the Manifesto of the Superblur, Superstroke and Hybridpointillism Art Movements.
That is about all that I have to say for today. Here is the abovementioned Manifestos
The Manifesto of the Hybrid Pointillism Art Movement
The Manifesto of the Hybridpointillism Art Movement
1. Paintings and Sculptures shall be executed with at least some form of Pointillism on a reasonably substantial part of the work.
2. All forms of pointillism shall be considered. This includes inspiration from artists such as Signac, Seurat, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Lichtenstein, Warhol etc.
3.Abstraction shall form a very important part of the Hybrid Pointillism Art Movement. Splattering, All Over Drips etc. and the style of painting pioneered by Janet Sobel will all count towards the amount of Points or Drips considered on the Paintings.
4. The Symbol for Work executed according to the Manifesto of the Hybridpointillism Art Movement will be Paint Splatter.
5. Members of the Hybridpointillism Art Movement shall often compare their work to that of the Abstract Expressionism Art Movement.
6. Members of the Hybridpointillism Art Movement do not ask: Who is going to let us? We are asking: Who is going to stop us?
7. This Manifesto of the Hybridpointillism Art Movement can change according to the progress being made.

Manifesto of The Superblur Art Movement:
1. Superblur refers to a method of creating art using the definition of the word blur.
2. Thus the focus of the art will be to make the object or classification of the art unclear or less distinct .
3. Superblur will also focus elements that cannot be seen or heard clearly.
4. When photography is used with the elements of Superblur in mind. The camera will be manipulated or even be shaken to blur the picture and the aim is to produce images that are similar to abstract art in painting.
5. Instead of creating art for the sake of art, elements of art movements such as Superflat, Superstroke, Cubism and so forth, will be blurred in an attempt to create art that will be known as Superblur art.
The Superstroke Art Movement
The Manifesto for Superstroke is as follows:
1. Paintings and sculptures should be executed using expressive even violent brushstrokes on at least some part of the picture or surface.
2. Should a photograph be used for a figurative painting, the objection should not be Photorealism, but Expressionism.
3. If mediums such as pen, pencil, etc are used, the pen and pencil strokes must at least be overly expressive for it to be considered a Superstroke picture.
4. Paintings can be executed in both the abstract and figurative.
5. Subject matters such as Africa, light, dark, life and death are encouraged. The use of intentional plus signs, are essential.
6. Collage, Stencil and Calligraphy may be used for impact.
7. The Super Expressive Brush, Pen etc. strokes can be used on any object with a surface, and this makes sculpture possible in Superstroke.
8. The concept, Art for the sake of art, does not apply in Superstroke. In Superstroke it is art for the sake of Superstroke, as the artist must always strive for paintings rich in texture, or excessive brush or pencil strokes.
